Interest & Investments — Parable of the Talents #2

Parable of the Three Servants

14 “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of a man going on a long trip. He called together his servants and entrusted his money to them while he was gone. 15 He gave five bags of silver[b] to one, two bags of silver to another, and one bag of silver to the last—dividing it in proportion to their abilities. He then left on his trip.

16 “The servant who received the five bags of silver began to invest the money and earned five more. 17 The servant with two bags of silver also went to work and earned two more. 18 But the servant who received the one bag of silver dug a hole in the ground and hid the master’s money.

19 “After a long time their master returned from his trip and called them to give an account of how they had used his money. 20 The servant to whom he had entrusted the five bags of silver came forward with five more and said, ‘Master, you gave me five bags of silver to invest, and I have earned five more.’

21 “The master was full of praise. ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together![c]

22 “The servant who had received the two bags of silver came forward and said, ‘Master, you gave me two bags of silver to invest, and I have earned two more.’

23 “The master said, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’

24 “Then the servant with the one bag of silver came and said, ‘Master, I knew you were a harsh man, harvesting crops you didn’t plant and gathering crops you didn’t cultivate. 25 I was afraid I would lose your money, so I hid it in the earth. Look, here is your money back.’

26 “But the master replied, ‘You wicked and lazy servant! If you knew I harvested crops I didn’t plant and gathered crops I didn’t cultivate, 27 why didn’t you deposit my money in the bank? At least I could have gotten some interest on it.’

28 “Then he ordered, ‘Take the money from this servant, and give it to the one with the ten bags of silver. 29 To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away. 30 Now throw this useless servant into outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Freedom by Faith: God’s Gift is His Works Not Ours Ephesians 2 #3

Alive with Christ

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared [the path] in advance [that we should walk with Him] for us to do.”

God’s Word is the Treasure Map to Salvation We Follow Through Faith

God’s Gift

God’s Word is the treasure map to Salvation followed through Faith!

We accept God’s gift of Grace humbly as Christ’s creation, containing His Truth,

Acting as treasure chests of wisdom with which He stores in us His goods and workmanship

As Christ’s creation that we may do those good works which God has prepared for us beforehand”

What Does the Bible Say About Wealth? GotQuestions #10 | GotQuestions.org

Ask God – God Answers – Seek Scripture In Action – Knock & Know!

www.gotquestions.org/Bible-wealth.html

Jesus, who knows our hearts, warned us about trying to serve two masters (Luke 16:13). We cannot love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength if we also love money (Mark 12:30). God will not share His throne.

Holy Spirit Protect Us From Evil Hollywood!

Choose Wisdom Over Wealth (Silver, Gold, or Rubies) —Proverbs 8

Wisdom Calls for a Hearing

Proverbs 8:1-11 New Living Translation (NLT)

Listen as Wisdom calls out!
Hear as understanding raises her voice!
On the hilltop along the road,
she takes her stand at the crossroads.
By the gates at the entrance to the town,
on the road leading in, she cries aloud,

“I call to you, to all of you!

I raise my voice to all people.

You simple people, use good judgment.

You foolish people, show some understanding.

Listen to me! For I have important things to tell you.

    Everything I say is right,

for I speak the truth

and detest every kind of deception.

My advice is wholesome.

There is nothing devious or crooked in it.

My words are plain to anyone with understanding,

    clear to those with knowledge.

10 Choose my instruction rather than silver,

and knowledge rather than pure gold.

11 For wisdom is far more valuable than rubies.

Nothing you desire can compare with it.

Matthew 7:7 — Ask, Seek, Knock! Ask, Seek, Selah! Ask, Seek, Knock, Know God!

daylekinney's avatarDayle Kinney

Ask, Seek, Knock

When I was growing up I didn’t like to ask for many things. Probably because the family finances were often stretched, or I didn’t want to be disappointed if what I asked for didn’t eventuate. This hesitancy to ask unfortunately carried over into my adult life, and relationships with both people and God. We can think it is easier to go through life not asking anyone for anything, but that would mean that we are primarily dependant only upon our own limited resources, when God wants us to know we can ask of Him.

Jesus said, “And I say to you ask, and it shall be given to you; seek and you shall find; knock, and I shall be open to you.” (Matthew 7:7-8)

We aren’t meant to do life alone, or only in our own strength. God wants us instead to:

1. Ask – Asking is verbal and God…

Psalm 118:22-23

The Temple of the Holy Spirit

18 Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin a man can commit is outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body.

19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;

20 you were bought at a price. Therefore glorify God with your body.
