Dwell All the Days of Our Lives Forever, House of the Lord — Lord Our Shepherd Psalm 23 #3

Psalm 23 New International Version (NIV)

A psalm of David.

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
    he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
    for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk
    through the darkest valley,[a]
I will fear no evil,
    for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
    my cup overflows.

Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
    forever.

Psalm 23:6

Being A Giver in a World of Takers Pt. 2 — Sin of Selfishness: Treasure in Heaven — Francis Chan Crazy Love Ministry

Proverbs 22:9

Poor Among You

11 For there will never cease to be poor in the land; that is why I am commanding you to open wide your hand to your brother and to the poor and needy in your land.

Deuteronomy 15:11

Love of God

17 If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? 18 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

God’s Grace & Gifts, Given by the Measure of Our Messiah Ephesians 4 #1

Bible on Money

Unity in the Body

7 Now grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of the Messiah’s gift.

8 For it says: When He ascended on high, He took prisoners into captivity; He gave gifts to people.

Ephesians 4:7-8 HCSB

Notice Paul’s question in the very next verse which leads to a deeper discernment concerning the meaning of the gifts and the mystery of Christ’s ascension:

9 But what does “He ascended” mean except that He descended to the lower parts of the earth?

Ephesians 4:9 HCSB

Ephesians 4:8 For it says: When He ascended on high, He took prisoners into captivity; He gave gifts to people.

Paul points to fulfilled prophecy and its divinely revealed meaning: The Truth contained in Christ’s body! Us.

Psalm 68:18 “You have ascended on high, You have led captive Your captives”
