“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.” Matthew 6:24

   The Greek word used for mammon in the Bible is called”mamonas” which means “treasure” or “riches.” Money would also fall into this category, and if we put our trust in these rather than God, then we are serving mammon.

Our worship and devotion should be for Christ and Him only. He is everything we need, as it says in Philippians 4:19. “And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches and glory by Christ Jesus.”

When we serve God and have made Him the Lord of our lives then we are saying that we trust and love Him more than the riches of this world. 1…
